Percent means “per hundred.” So means , which is as a decimal.
To convert between forms:
- Percent → decimal: divide by 100 (move decimal two places left).
- Decimal → percent: multiply by 100 (move decimal two places right).
The most useful percent question type is “What is X% of Y?”:
